Back-end development
Applications come in many shapes and sizes. They all have one thing in common: they need data and supporting infrastructure. That infrastructure runs on servers, whether in a cloud environment such as Azure or AWS, or on a VPS or dedicated server.
Back-end software plays a central role in distributing the information your web applications, mobile applications or desktop applications need to function. It is also essential for applying business logic and safeguarding data integrity.
Examples of back-end software include system processes or services, cron jobs and the best-known category: web APIs.
The benefits of working with ESBL
We do not just develop software; we guide the process too.
From the first design to delivery and every update after that.
We develop cross-platform software. That means our back-end software can run on Microsoft Windows, Linux and macOS. Whether that is actually needed depends entirely on your requirements.
A back-end application usually needs its own server, especially when it involves system services. For web APIs, there are many suitable hosting options today.
For system services, we provide an installer just like commercial applications do, so you can install the application on location without specialist expertise. Web APIs are usually delivered by us as a Docker image.
In principle, you can place system administration with your existing partners. We provide administration documentation and initial installation on location. We can also take on that responsibility ourselves. The choice is yours.
Not at all. For all our products, we continuously share the source code with you. You can always choose to have your software maintained elsewhere or ask an independent third party to review the quality of our work.
